Grace Directorate
The Grace Directorate is made up of various ministries- Marital Affairs, Counselling, Pastoral Affairs, Kingdom Jewels namely. Each ministry is unique in its purpose from equipping individuals with godly counselling, creating a welcoming environment to visiting ministers, helping women fulfill their God given destinies to providing practical tools for marriages and homes to thrive and succeed in navigating through the complexities and challenges of life.
- Marital Affairs Ministry
The Marital Affairs ministry is a key ministry in House of Praise as it has to do with the issues surrounding families. God ordained marriage and its significance is emphasized repeatedly in Scripture. God used the analogy of the marriage relationship in Ephesians 5 to illustrate the relationship of Christ with His bride, the Church. The goal of the marriage ministry is to lead people to passionately follow Jesus by building strong marriages based on biblical principles by motivating and empowering engaged and married couples in understanding how to develop and maintain positive, spirit-filled marriages; God’s sovereign plan for marriage; the roles of spouses within marriage; and the wonderful blessing marriage can be when both spouses are obedient to God’s word.
- Counselling Ministry
The Bible contains everything we need to teach, reprove, correct, and train believers in right living (II Timothy 3:16–17). The counselling ministry is a vital ministry in House of Praise due to an unprecedented pain that brethren experience as a result if life complexities. According to 1 Peter 1:3, God has given us everything we need pertaining to life and godliness. The goal of the counselling ministry at House of Praise is to create a caring, supportive, and safe environment for our members to receive biblical guidance and support while navigating through life and their spiritual walk. We will show and share God’s love to people by taking the time to listen to them and understand them from their own perspective. By so doing, we will engage in judgmental free counselling by interpreting their life situations through the grid of Scripture, confronting them with God’s framework, and challenging them to engage in a life-transforming renewal of their minds where necessary (Romans 12:1–2). Through this Department, the church provides the framework to resolve member’s personal difficulties as well as social, psychological and marital challenges amongst others.
- Pastoral Affairs Ministry
The Bible enjoins us in 1 Thessalonians 5:12 to honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. Apart from our local pastors, we have guest ministers visit us from time to time in House of Praise to expose the church to different gifts, anointing and presentations of the gospel as variety brings refreshing to the people and helps spiritual growth. The purpose of the pastoral care ministry is to ensure that our guest ministers are comfortable and well taken care of during their visit to House of Praise. The ministry will also cater to the needs of the local pastors.
- Kingdom Jewels Ministry
Paul in Titus 2:3-5 encouraged women to teach, nurture and help each other become matured Christians. The goal of the kingdom Jewels (Jesus Women Empowering Lives) which is the women ministry in House of Praise is to help every woman feel loved, accepted, encouraged, and equipped to pursue a passionate, growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and to respond with gratitude for that relationship by serving others in love, make great friends on the journey, live fulfilled lives and make positive impacts within their sphere of influence. Our aspiration is that as kingdom jewels, our marriages, our homes, and our relationships will continually grow, not only because of the transforming power of God’s Word and Spirit but also because of the love and wisdom that the women in our church family have poured into each other.
